Definitely a good buy, improved the sound not to home theater level but it's definitely an upgrade over the TV speaker. I don't support surround sound but the tv is so unrecognizable. So it can happen that after connecting it will try to send sound as ss and will skip, just set the TV sound to PC and everything works.
Volume control is also by remote control from the TV (no need to use the remote separately from the soundbar)
