LG remotes are poor quality, even when the TV costs a fortune, the remote barely lasts a year. The scroll wheel (the little wheel) breaks and falls inside the remote. LG doesn't address this and there's no improved version available. Alza is about 400 more expensive, but you can have it in a collection box the next day.
