I will not write the pros and cons here, because after the first switch on you will understand that you have a cheaper product in your hand. The update is on request, so email Lamax support for camera data. The update itself is said to take place via a memory card. Lamax does not have PC viewing software either. you need to download adequate software to your PC to be able to edit the video. Honestly, I didn' t notice the difference in picture quality between the fullhd 60 frame and their 4K 30 frame. I will buy something else next time. For 3.5 thousand it is not a hit but not a disappointment either.

For that price, a high-quality and usable picture for insurance events, the comfort is unfortunately made unpleasant by shortcomings that are already standard elsewhere. Compared to other brands or Chinese variants, the camera has a noticeably better image and it is not very good to read the number plates of cars that are in your vicinity while driving, which is the most important for possible protection after an accident. Easy to install and magnetic mount is also a big plus. The camera is also connected to the rear camera and records from both sensors together. On the other hand, the declared 4K resolution is only for the eye and the sensor in the camera is only capable of 2K and the image is expanded to 4K using the SW camera, probably thanks to this you cannot use 4K with the rear camera, because the HW/SW of the camera would not be able to handle it. The camera does not have its own USB-C connector and charging is only possible via the base stuck on the car window. Standard phone chargers do not work. Can' t connect to PC - you have to take out the SD card and insert it into the card reader to download the video to the PC. Videos can be downloaded to the phone via an app that often doesn' t work.

The RoadCam app is practically unusable on iOS. It connects to the camera but is unable to download the recording. The download will hang at 0% for several minutes.
In case of connection via USB-C - USB-C (i. e. not using the supplied cigarette lighter adapter) you will probably have a problem because the camera can' t " communicate" the correct power supply. You need to use a USB-C -> USB-A adapter and then connect the camera with a USB-A -> USB-C cable (the adapter requires the correct voltage)
Slightly unintuitive control, however, you set the camera once and then you don' t have to go to the menu

Overall, I am satisfied with the camera, if you buy the front camera only, you can look forward to 4K quality shots, unfortunately after connecting the rear camera, you will only get 2K from the front camera, but the video quality is still sufficient. The main disadvantage of the camera is its application, which is connected to several cameras and therefore the application often does not cooperate with the camera.

After a week of use, I think everything is great
Except for a detail, after the SD card is full, it cannot overwrite old recordings. After full it stops uploading and I have to manually delete the card.

I' ve been using the camera for about a month with the additional rear camera, and so far the camera fulfills everything I needed. The recording is of sufficient quality even at night. The database of radars and cameras is comprehensive, when I compared it while driving with the database in the Waze application, Lamax did not fall behind even once.

It is not a dual camera even though it is in the dual camera category and the description mentions it as if it were a part. Unfortunately, Alza did not acknowledge its mistake in the description and did not offer the rear camera at least at a lower price as an apology for misinforming customers. Unfortunately, Alza has more similarly poorly described products. The last time I was proving a problem with another product for about a month. Time wasted due to bad descriptions.
