Bought based on a review in Stereo & Video magazine. But it was obviously paid for by the manufacturer, because it's a piece of crap costing maybe two grand.

I give it 5 out of 5, even though it has cons and because of the price-performance ratio. I have a Panasonic SC-TMAX5 and it is much more powerful, but it doesn't have a radio, microphone input and battery - that's the advantage of the JVC. I had a chance to compare it to the LG XBOOM on5 as well - it also has higher performance and even the sound quality is a bit better, but it doesn't have a battery and it's awfully big and heavy compared to the JVC. JVC is really a great speaker for smaller parties for the price, currently the best choice. The radio is pretty cool, but you have to find the right place with the speaker to tune in what you need.
