I don't think it was the shipper's fault what condition the goods were in. The case was still sealed in plastic wrapping, yet it is scratched underneath. As I wrote in the cons, the crayon storage is such a thin and fragile plastic that probably the factory handling has already made a mess of it and everything is cracked on both floors. We left it at home, I don't think swapping it for another one would solve it long term. It's very poor quality.
