The quality of the sound, the microphone, the materials and the case is the same as, if not better than, the Pro models. On the other hand, the transparent mode and ANC are simply better on AirPods. When it comes to transparency, Apple is simply the king, whether it’s earbuds or ‘headphones’. However, when it comes to value for money, I reckon the Freebuds are the better option, given their ability to connect to both iOS and Android, their equaliser settings, customisable controls and so on.

The headphones are really well made. For me the top balance between price/quality/functionality. For the Andoids, it's probably the best choice at the moment. For me, they are almost fully equal to the Airpods Pro 3 if ANC is not a priority. The only difference is that the ANC is not as strong, but in return, the clarity of the sound is better for the other party. No cars or noise was reportedly heard during the call on the busy street in the middle of the intersection. The sound experience itself with the music is great for me. The sound is dynamic, vivid. Of course, the frequency response is different for each headphone, but the equalizer solves that. The headphones have decent battery life, they charge quickly, but for my taste the case itself discharges quite quickly (comparison to the Nothing ear(s) I had before - they also had decent sound for less money ). But it's also not a great blocker for me.

At first glance, the headphones look very good. I liked the design with the stand, the comfort and the overall premium feel. The noise cancellation is more effective than on cheaper models, and the build quality feels solid. Unfortunately, however, I didn’t find the sound quality at all suitable for spoken word. I found the sound too bass-heavy, boomy and muffled. It might seem impressive to some when it comes to music, but for my main uses — podcasts, YouTube and spoken word — it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The voice wasn’t as clear and distinct as I’d expected. For that price, I expected to find simple presets in the app for speech, vocals or a more neutral listening experience. However, I couldn’t find a setting like that which would have quickly solved my problem. I didn’t want to spend ages fine-tuning the settings manually, because with cheaper headphones I’d already got a sound that was more suitable for spoken word straight away. Summary:
Technically good headphones with powerful ANC and a comfortable design, but they didn’t suit my main use. My main focus wasn’t on the music, but on the spoken word, tranquillity and clarity. Surprisingly, the cheaper EarFun Air Pro 4+ headphones performed better in this respect.
