I was incredibly hooked by the first one, I finished it at 70% (main 100%, side 50%), the main story of the first one was amazing, suspenseful and surprising, the side quests were fine, but the new game is much, much more elaborate. First of all, the characters from the first game meet throughout the game and secondly, the main story is perhaps even more epic. I've got a few hours of play under my belt, the map is only about 40% open (maybe not even that) and already the story is incredibly catchy and convoluted in a way that I wasn't expecting some of the bombs it throws at me as a player. Amazing story, really. And the side quests complement the main story, which I like. This game is improved over the first one in every way. The controls remain more or less the same, with only a few small useful changes, so the transition from one to two is without a single problem. Aloy is still the same, no changes, she still has her amazing hair, full of freckles, same dubbing, the environment is amazing and you can climb almost everywhere (although it could use a little more work). I cannot but recommend it!
