I'm reviewing the washing machine after a year of use, hope this helps someone.
I think I'm quite happy with it apart from a few issues, so 4/5 stars.
Washes well, has loads more programmes when you download the mobile app.
It doesn't jump around and is relatively quiet, as long as you don't overfill it. It's hard to overfill since it's for 9kg, but I manage it sometimes. Despite that, I feel it's quite quiet.
You can set a cashmere programme from your mobile, which I believe is even more gentle than the wool programme and uses the lowest spin speed. This means I don't have to wash my woollens by hand as often.
I can start the wash on my mobile before I leave work. When I get home, all I have to do is hang it out.
But there's a downside. The washing machine has a 3-hour and 6-hour start delay and nothing else, so I have to remember to start the machine remotely. I'd like to be able to set the wash for a specific time, which unfortunately isn't possible, not even with the app.
Stupid detergent drawer, it hits the washing machine door when it's pulled out. I really don't understand the genius who came up with such a moronic design.
The detergent drawer doesn't have a way to hold gel detergents, which means if I want to use the delayed start, the washing gel runs into the washing machine and can needlessly clog it up by drying out.
I've noticed that at the start of the wash cycle, the washing machine briefly drains residual water. If you're using a gel detergent, this might remove some of the gel that could have run down, due to the problem I described above.
Sometimes it uses very little water, even on short programmes, and I feel that occasionally this is why it doesn't dissolve standard washing powder.
- The eco EU bullshit standards should be turned off on short programmes
- However, you can set some programmes in the app to use more water. But it's a nuisance when I just want to do a quick wash without fiddling with my phone.
The HON app feels unfinished to me, it's missing a lot of nice features that I could imagine it having.
I've had the washing machine for a short time, but so far I haven't found anything negative. The only thing is that sometimes the app crashes - but I don't care about that at all. And for me, as a big dog owner, hair removal programs are great.
without program descriptions on the main panel, it takes some getting used to and learning
