Unfortunately, there is no app for debugging. Why do they mention it, the microphone has only 3 or 4 preset modes- your voice with echo, that can't be turned off, then the smurf, the rough voice, and one more. You cannot add more or edit it. Switching modes interrupts gameplay for about 3 seconds. But it's mostly for kids, and as such, totally awesome.
The microphones cannot be set to different sound modes separately except for their volume. Just one mod rules them all.
