Bought for a lively, 7kg cross between a dachshund and something else, and the lead handles him perfectly.
light
comfortable in the hand
A delicate but very sturdy strap.
Quiet, only makes a noise when reeling in from the side or when the tape is twisted.
The brake is smooth and responds well even to a light press.
I've had it for a week, so I'm still testing it, but I haven't noticed any downsides so far.

I was worried if our four-pound cat could pull this 5m leash, and in the end it's ok. Although the softer 3m is probably more comfortable for her.
So we walk the cat with a smaller 3m leash and let him pull it out. If we just want to prevent her from escaping in the cottage, we put her at 5m where she has a larger run and we lock the leash in the fully extended position.
at 5m pulling it does not put much resistance
3m leash is even easier to pull out
