The device uses a CR2032 battery (included in the package), which is a plus because when it runs out, you can buy a replacement anywhere. Other products of the same type use an LR44 battery, which you can't just buy anywhere anymore.
Measures accurately
It's a hobby device for occasional measurements, so you need to bear that in mind, especially given it only costs a few quid.
The device automatically switches on when you slide the gauge, and it turns itself off after 5 minutes of inactivity, so there shouldn't be any risk of the battery running out.
Given the bright green colour, you'll probably find it quickly in the workshop.
The display isn't backlit as stated in the description, but it's probably not needed anyway. You most likely won't be using it at night😊
