As soon as it arrived, I tried it on a piece of log about 15cm in diameter - as it is light, it has to be held firmly so it doesn't come off. You have to really tighten the lid with the chain tensioning system carefully - it's rather flimsily made with a sort of worm in the lid and if you don't tighten it properly, the worm jumps a tooth and the chain is loose. Once this initial stupidity is worked out, it's a go. The speed of cutting through the logs - perhaps even the performance I would compare to my Stihlka ms-211
