FIELDMANN AKU screwdriver 3,6V FDS 10101-A (1x1,3 Ah)
Well as for two kilos one cannot ask for shrimps, the quality and characteristics of this product completely correspond to the price I would say.
However, here I would like to describe my first experience out of the box:
- the torque head is graded very "hard". Even on the lowest gear it has a lot of torque, really careful when tightening some delicate mechanics,
- position no. 6 on the torque head, the motor no longer "revs" (fully charged state), the last position at which the head "revs" is no. 5,
- the direction of rotation switch is placed on the handle somewhat unfortunately (at least for my hand), by firmly grasping and pressing the trigger, the pressure of the side of the finger inadvertently moves the switch to the "do not rotate at all" position,
- that supplied USB charging cable is really worth a pittance, its USB-C connector doesn't fit at all in the screwdriver's anti-clip. It went straight into the trash, replaced by a USB cable from the drawer. I would probably even recommend not using the supplied charger unless someone wants to increase the risk of fire. Or keep it under control while charging,
- don't expect the LED light to come on before the engine is switched on, as with "normal" cordless screwdrivers after a light squeeze of the trigger. The lighting is only triggered at the same time as the engine, which is quite late to put the bit on the screw in low light conditions. It also has no range when the trigger is released, the LED turns off at the same time as the motor,
- the end of charging is apparently indicated by the red LED going off, I couldn't find this information in the manual,
- the magnet in the spindle is quite weak. If the bit bites into the head of the screw (e.g. on Allen screws), the bit is then pulled out of the spindle very easily,
- I have to say, as the icing on the cake, that the control of the direction of rotation has not been mastered by the manufacturer in terms of the motor wiring. When I press the switch to the L (Left) position, the spindle rotates to the right. When I press the switch to the R (Right) position, the spindle rotates to the left: -)))
For the kids as a cheap but real acoustic screwdriver for helping daddy, it's a perfectly satisfactory thing. Charging with the USB-C cable with any phone charger (or straight from the ntb) is pleasant.
I wouldn't have expected such a mess from Fieldmann. Screwdriver good for the money, I wanted a second screwdriver for undemanding home use. It does. But the charger - especially the cable, a tragedy. It absolutely does not stick when inserted, it falls out immediately. The fault is not in the screwdriver, but in the power cable connector. When using your own cable everything O. K. So if you don't have a proper USB cable at home and don't want to shell out extra money for it, don't buy it!
