I needed to change the opening as needed on several boxes. It was a lot of work to drill and profile. I tried this tool and was pleasantly surprised. I pre-drilled the corners (you can' t make sharp turns). Then I drove to the hole and enlarged the created " groove" to the drawn line. For the third box, I " caught it in my hand and eye" and the work was a joy: ) The machined edge is a bit jagged, this is due to the machining principle. A file and a little goodwill will do the trick. It' s not a permanent production tool, but it' s great for occasional use. You just need to clamp the workpiece and, due to the vibrations, it is advisable to rest your left hand (the one holding the tool) on the table top or the workpiece. The drill must not be stopped and started while engaged in the material!
It works better than I expected. It processes 1.3 mm sheet metal without any problems. Grates small crescents. The workpiece must be firmly clamped, e. g. to the table. It is advisable to lightly oil the treated area on both sides. When working, you must first set the speed to high and slowly start cutting from the edge of the workpiece. It is better (if possible) to cut off several times.
It vibrates, but that' s more of a feature given by the construction.
It is more difficult to make sharp internal corners - it is better to pre-drill them.
After purchase, it is advisable to disassemble the whole thing, clean any rust (one side of the tool was rusty) and lubricate.
