I chose the cheaper Etu because the previous powerful Tefal iron at twice the price and with the best reviews, the heating plate went out after 4 years and didn't even give nearly the performance expected. I haven't had a chance to use the new iron to its full potential yet, but it already seems to iron very well. It's lightweight and smaller, but that's actually a good thing, it doesn't take up that much space. It could just have a cord clip, but I got that from the original Tefal. And it looks like it's slightly scuffed, right out of the box, but that's just a cosmetic flaw. I hope it lasts as long as possible.
