Expensive as hell, but they last much longer than any "long life" alkaline batteries, especially in the cold! Absolutely fantastic for outdoor weather station sensors or for pocket torches, but they also perform better indoors in devices with a higher power consumption. They're not worth the price for clocks and remote controls, but otherwise, they are much better than anything from the alkaline world. And they are also excellent for long-term storage! They don't age as quickly as other types (they don't suffer from self-discharge and won't leak even after years). It's just that the price is simply higher.

If you want performance for as long as possible, buy ENERGIZER. For the longest life at 1.2 Volts, there's DURACELL (PROCELL).
