I used to put chains in the grinding shop. I don't know the reason, but the grinder removed a lot of material from the teeth each time. After the third grinding, the chain was at the end of its service life. Also, the grinding fee is not insignificant and you have to wait a few days. With your own grinder, you can sharpen the chain yourself, take off just the necessary bit of tooth, about 0.2 and 0.3 mm, and the edge is perfect again. I screwed the grinder to a chipboard 300 x 300 x 20 mm. Before sanding, I attach the board with the sander to the table with two joinery clamps. When sanding, it is a good idea to make sure you are sitting comfortably and have good light so you can see the sanding area. Then you will be satisfied with the result. I should have bought a chain grinder a long time ago: )
