Until now, I've been using soaps (the special ones for brushes) - now I've tried this cleaner and it's absolutely perfect. The soap went in the bin. It cleans brushes beautifully and quickly, even kabuki brushes, which I had a problem with when using soap because the middle was hard to clean and the soap was more difficult to rinse out.
