Almost a year ago I bought from Alza Crucial 16GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Ballistix Black. This year I wanted to expand the memory and so I chose memories of exactly the same parameters. I was very surprised when my computer reported that the memory was slower than the original one. Apparently, better parameters are listed on the web than the memories actually have.
For some reason, Corsair manufactures these memories in different versions (in my case 4.32 and 5.32) under the same sales number CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. In November 2020, I purchased one pack of these 2x8GB memories (manufacturer Samsung, version 4.32) and since I was satisfied with the memories, I decided to purchase these memories again a year later (November 2021) to increase the total capacity of the memories to 32GB. However, these memories differed not only in their manufacturer, which in this case was Hynix, but also in the firmware version itself (5.32). I have no idea how much these seemingly identical but different memories differ in other parameters, but their compatibility was not very good in this case. Especially when trying to set memory frequencies and timings (if we are talking about the frequencies set by the manufacturer, i.e. 3200 MHz = unstable in my case). Otherwise, as far as the memories are concerned, I rate them mostly positively, I would just like to appeal to future buyers to be careful and inform themselves in advance.
