The nut, or whatever it's called, is rather unhappily resolved. There is the option of using 2 sizes of wrenches, I think 18 and 19. And that's the problem, if you put 18 on, it bites in, it can't come off the key/top. If you want to use a 19 then probably just a tubular one, because a normal steerer is not that deep. If they just put one dimension and a normal shape, it would be a better solution. I guess they wanted to be flexible and it didn't work out.
