I am extremely happy with the product, I immediately forgot about all the HP printers I've ever had. :)
Works straight away with Linux (Linux Mint), no need to install any drivers.
Large and, most importantly, a covered (internal) paper tray for up to 250 sheets.
High-quality and fast printing, including a quick start to ready mode (initialisation).
Double-sided printing (duplex) capability.
Simple controls and indicators (using LEDs).
Affordably priced, includes a starter toner for 700 pages with standard page coverage.
Option to save toner and change the resolution up to 1200 dpi.
It doesn't support MAC OS (which I don't see as a negative), but it does support Linux (which I consider a big plus).
The package doesn't include a USB data cable (USB-B). I don't see it as a negative, you can just use the one from your old printer, or add a cable of the required length to your order.

Good configuration options:
- turn on toner saving for normal text printing
- for maps, photos, turn the saving off and use 1200 dpi
- prints quickly when switched on, fast initialization
- no problem with print memory, where my previous printer threw errors
affordable
double-sided automatic printing!
paper tray
quick start
up to 1200 dpi
user super quality text and B&W photo.
a little more expensive printing I take in exchange for automatic duplex, saving paper and especially saving wasted prints and nerves when wrong paper is inserted in manual duplex!
a little bigger, but OK thanks to the features
it will be advisable to cover the upper surface due to dust
quiet
does not smell of ozone

Excellent simple office printer, no frills, no crap like wireless, clouds, cartridge subscriptions, etc. It loads and prints quickly and quite quietly and does exactly what it's supposed to. Robust construction, closed paper tray + manual input (for envelopes, stickers, etc. ), automatic duplex, nicely designed paper stops, etc. Original toners a bit more expensive, but it can be done. The print roller has a life of 15,000 pages and even though it can be replaced, it basically defines the life of the printer (new costs 1700-1800, new printer 2300). Check the dimensions of where you want to put it, the internal paper tray makes it a bit bigger (plus the power cord is sticking out the back, so it makes the used floor plan even bigger). Ideal floor plan for placement with some space around for paper, toner, etc. is the Ikea Lack square table. There's no USB cable in the box, but that's been standard for 30 years (and the cable has been the same for 30 years, so you still have one).
simple, purposeful business design, no bullshit
fast, quiet
absence of wifi and online crap
internal paper tray
automatic duplex
Brother brand (long term great experience, unlike HP etc. )
slightly larger dimensions due to the internal paper tray
a bit more expensive original toners, but who does not have money, can buy neorigo Alza TN, it will work too
expensive printing roller (i.e. real life of the printer = life of the roller = 15,000 pages, but you probably won't buy this printer for thousands of pages per month)

I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of the print.
Speed.
So far, automatic duplex printing works as it should.
Price of a replacement toner (when I need it).
