After seven months, the seat practically fell apart: first, the central part that secures the strap between the legs came off in my hand; then the seat cover stopped staying in place; and finally, I realised that the plastic plate holding it in place had snapped off. The car seat was used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; it was secured using the Isofix system and I simply buckled in my five-year-old son every day, so I would expect the seat to be able to handle a child weighing 20 kg on the journey to and from nursery. I made a complaint, but I was told at the branch that I should have come in when there were already visible signs of damage; they said it was a disaster and blamed it on mechanical damage. It definitely wasn't mechanically damaged.
