A great thermometer, and although the price is higher and you have to buy additional probe covers, it's really worth it. It's practical, for example, after vaccinations and for taking multiple readings a day. It depends on whether the child gets used to it, but it's better to measure this way than rectally. You need to practise inserting it correctly into the ear canal; it can be more challenging with smaller children. It takes readings quietly and has an orange light, so for nighttime measurements, you can easily illuminate the ear, and it's useful for the whole family.

Measures accurately and quickly
You have to use the disposable caps, but you can use one several times for a child.
To be honest, I don’t really care if I get a reading of 36.6°C when it should be 36.8°C, or if it’s 39.1°C instead of 38.9°C… Two tenths of a degree don’t make any difference to me when it comes to knowing whether everything’s fine or if something’s wrong, but the reading is quick (a matter of seconds) and I don’t have to force my newborn to keep their arm close to their body and subject them to the ordeal of an electric thermometer for up to a minute… I’m completely satisfied with it and highly recommend it!
