I used glue twice, correct ratio, took a long time to cure. It is only after a few days that the test specimen ceases to be flexible. I glued bakelite, luckily it cracked with 5mm sloping walls, so hopefully it will hold. Epoxy should be hard after curing, mine is flexible, doesn't hold much.
Maybe it was just a factory screw-up.

Even after a few days, the adhesive is flexible. The epoxy should be hard to make the joint solid.
