It's probably a Chinese product that puts modernity, economy, environmental friendliness, etc. first, functionality is hidden somewhere at the end if you look at it at all. Still, the eschus seems usable to me.
The handle of the larger container when folding and snapping the lid/bowl on my esky does not go through the centre of the lid, but kind of through the shaft (about 2cm) - after snapping it can be moved to the centre in the correct position. This is probably due to the wrong shape of the handle.
When I first unfolded and assembled the esky, the small polystyrene shipping block inside the esky moved off center. What happened was that my inner container got wedged behind the rim of the larger container, which is rimmed inwards (because of the lid/dish). There is not much of a gap between the inner and outer container, so the inner container cannot be removed easily in this case. Although the transport polystyrene is discarded, but due to the "beating" of the smaller container in the larger one during transport in the backpack, it is probably advisable to always put some cloth between the containers, so that this problem may occur more often.
In the folded state, inside the ewer there is a smaller container, a cup and a crown cap opener. The cutlery including a knife combined also with a crown cap opener remains outside the ewer. The reason for the inability to insert the cutlery into the ewer is the long handles of the cutlery. If it were 3-3.5 cm shorter (i.e. about 1/3), it would probably fit into the folded eschus as well.
Despite the above mentioned "flaws", the ewer seems to me to be quite a successful adaptation of the original aluminum ewer to another material and usable for those who are looking for an alternative to aluminum ewers at an affordable price. Potential veterans and users of our classic aluminium ewers have to discount the quality a little. For those who might be bothered by these shortcomings, I recommend trying the esus first, if they have the opportunity.
I would recommend that the manufacturer/supplier consider shaping the rim of the inner vessel to a larger diameter instead of straight out, first shaping the rim inward to a smaller diameter, and then rimming so that the vessel does not catch on the rim of the outer vessel (so that the diameter of the smaller ewer exceeds its rim). Furthermore, it would be nice if a solution could be found to store the cutlery in a container during transport. Preferably by reshaping the cutlery, in the worst case make the part of the handle rotatable on some rivet.
It's stainless steel and for that reason, it should be more suitable for cooking and storing food than an aluminium casserole, but it's obviously Chinese steel, so I don't really believe in stainless steel. I haven't used it yet.
