The wires are supposed to conduct 2200W and are not much thicker than bell wire. Yes, I'm exaggerating a bit, but even in the Merkur kit the cables used to be thicker. I had to redo the wiring on my previous boiler because the thermostat repeatedly burned out. I assumed I just had a failed piece, but on this model the wiring is even weaker perhaps. Naturally, the conductors get hot as the current passes through them. I haven't got the bottom down yet, so I'll see when I do. What can I do when the supply to the boiler is made of CYKY 3x2,5 mm2, when the boiler wiring itself resembles a cheap Chinese toy.
