So far we have been using it for about a month for the now 5 week old baby and it works well. There is no smell at all (the real test will probably be the transition to solid food at half a year: D ). It works as described/instructions. Those who write as a minus that the plastic bag "unwinds" from the cartridge during use, then they should read the instructions again.

The basket really isolates the smell well. Even at 30°C or more. However, the capacity of a size 1 diaper cartridge is 18 days in our experience, not a full month. It must be taken out once every 2/3 days. And the mechanism by which the diaper is inserted into the basket is quite unfortunate. When you have an "overflowing" nappy and want to put it in the bin, you have to push the nappy against the bottom "lid" which seals the bag. It is this pushing that is very risky - you never know what will come out at you. Also, with each push, the bag lifts a little bit out of the cartridge, so you have extra metres of bag in the basket at the bottom. It's hard to describe it so that a person understands it before buying, but once you have the basket, you will know it.
