It's the best money can buy if you're looking for an AMD gaming processor. 96MB of L3 Cache is an amazing thing specifically for gaming, and I consider the fact that all cores can use it an amazing little miracle. I upgraded from an I5-2400 and the jump is really noticeable: ). For the best performance, I recommend choosing fast RAMs for the processor, but that's a classic AMD thing. The processor will thank you for it with higher clock speeds at turbo boost. The processor is quite warm for AMD and 120W TDP is noticeable. I would definitely not overclock any X3D processor. I highly recommend not to underestimate the cooler, even considering that the maximum operating temperature of the processor has dropped to "only" 89 degrees. Even though the processor is more efficient than previous generations of Ryzen, it can struggle with cooling. With the Noctua NH-D15, the processor stays at comfortable temperatures even under load. I'm attaching an excerpt from HWMonitor after a full day of measuring my usage (Playing games like KCD, GTAV, etc.; web browsing; Office,. ) In all my time with the processor, I never got to 100% utilization with normal use, even with multitasking. Which to me is proof of a well-chosen processor for my purposes. I can recommend it: ).
