low without the possibility of extension in case you have a higher ceiling
First, make sure the mounting points are located on the projector - e.g. with the Optoma HD144X, the 3 triangles are so close together that the arms of the mount do not form comfortable arms as in the picture, but one needs to be removed and the other 3 cleverly curled under the circular base to allow the projector to be screwed to them while keeping its center of gravity close to the axis of the mount: -)
