A connected drive (however perfect usb-c, thunderbolt, etc. ) with TB4 cables etc. reads and drops ONLY 40 MB/s of data - never more. When 2 disks are connected, this transfer rate of 40 MB/s is divided by two, i.e. one runs e.g. 25 MB/s, the second one is 15 MB/s (note. these drives have a speed of over 1200 MB/s when connected to the NB, only 40 MB/s through this hub). When connected to a 100W power supply PD charges laptops, phones and at the same time you can connect 3 disks (disks go wrong and disconnect, however as a standalone hub it reads a flash drive, a single disk, otherwise really more disks = not much). The condition is definitely to use a 100W power supply for PD. I didn't notice the heating up in any significant way. And the last disadvantage = short fixed cable. Advantage = price.

In the circuit shown in the picture it behaves like an appliance. Not as a source. And in all possible combinations of ports it will give max 7W per port and less, even when only one appliance is connected.
