I bought the product with a healthy dose of scepticism, hoping it would help with the fine sediment. My fears came true. The device lets the fine sediment pass through. I eventually solved the situation with flocculant cartridges, which I put in the skimmer before the sand filter. I'm still having trouble with the return. Even though I paid for a 60-day return period and returned it after three days, Alza is making the refund difficult. First, they arbitrarily and without reason reclassified the 'return' as a 'complaint' and sent a new product. Naturally, I didn't accept it. I repeatedly requested a refund both by phone and on chat. Their latest excuse is that to issue a credit note, the warehouse has to confirm that the product is there. And the days just keep ticking by. Does Alza really need to improve its cash flow at the expense of its customers? Their delivery is brilliant, but their refunds are abysmal!

It's a simple little thing. I wasn't expecting miracles and I didn't get any. The stirring up of the bottom is due to its propulsion system. It doesn't have driven wheels; it moves only by briefly pushing water through the filter via one outlet, then the opposite one. I reckon all devices in this price range work in a similar way. So not stirring up the bottom would mean not vacuuming at all. :-) The Olymp from Mountfield is a tough nut for it to crack. It drives onto the coving, turns a bit, and a moment later goes the other way. It manages somehow in the end, but it struggles near the walls. In a regularly shaped pool, this "strategy" probably works, but for anything more complex... I'm not so sure.
