The HydroComm Pro concept itself is brilliant – an automatic analyser that saves you from having to constantly run about with drop testers. Unfortunately, the reality is that you’ll receive a faulty product in the pack.
I am currently dealing with a complaint about a second item, and in both cases exactly the same thing happened: Immediately after unpacking the new device and pairing it with the app, the system notified me that the sensors were one year old and needed to be replaced straight away (according to the details in the app, they were activated/calibrated in January 2025, whereas I received the device, brand new, in June 2026). The goods therefore remain in warehouses for months, where the chemical probes naturally degrade and age.
Both the first unit and this second (replaced) the ORP probe went completely ‘blind’ after just under a month of operation and following the first standard water treatment (addition of pH Plus), dropping to a steady 99 mV, even though the actual chlorine level in the pool was high and the pH was ideal (7.1). Put simply, after a year in the box, the probe had reached the end of its chemical life.
Communicating directly with Aiper’s support team via chat is a nightmare – even if you provide a live agent with serial numbers, invoices and your address, they keep asking the same questions over and over again, like a broken record.
If you buy the device, you’re very likely to encounter the same problem with the old batch of probes. For this price, I would expect a product that works perfectly straight out of the box. I’ll have to return the device again.
When the device is in operation, it measures water parameters very conveniently and clearly, directly within the app.
