Useful in a pinch. The lid does not leak in any way, so the freshly filled mould must be handled carefully. My moulds were also deformed - one mould was completely crumpled on the side, the other one had the edges of the lid folded over so that it had no way to catch on the mould. Considering the price, I didn't bother. I suggest you look for something else.
With the plastic ice mould, all you had to do was tap or wiggle it and the ice would come loose. With this silicone mould the ice is a little slower to remove but the mould will hopefully last longer than the plastic one.
