I didn't expect it to be that high. I bought this for my laptop and when I put it right next to the body/keyboard of the laptop, it is about 1cm higher. It's my fault, I didn't look at the photos properly when I made my choice. On the other hand, I can't figure out what else a separate numeric keypad would be good for other than a notebook without numerics. And all work laptops from this decade are definitely inferior.
