Despite initial scepticism it holds a couple of hours, installation was easy and the 22x22cm pictures with glass (so maybe don0 5kg) hold up nicely on 2 pieces. Hopefully the hude will hold for a long time. Count on about 2mm thickness of the plastic velcro, this is how the picture is removed from the wall.
