For a VA monitor, the response time is excellent and there's less ghosting. In motion at 144Hz, this VA panel was actually better than the MSI Mag401qr IPS monitor. Unfortunately, the colours are not so great – it displays shades of blue with a hint of green, making them appear more 'turquoise'. You can fiddle with the settings to minimise this effect, but I simply couldn't get the same 'blue' that my other TVs and monitors at home displayed. It's still usable though, as long as you don't expect miracles from a cheap monitor (if you don't have another screen right next to it for comparison, you won't even notice). For the price, it's practically a miracle that a VA panel displays an image with such sharpness.
So, if you don't want to spend a lot, you'll get a monitor with a very good contrast ratio compared to an IPS and a fast response time.
