Elméletileg lehetséges a napfűtés tetőre helyezése, de elég erős szűréssel (szivattyúval) kell rendelkeznie az áramvesztés (vízáramlás) elkerülése érdekében.
Mindig jobb, minél közelebb van a napfűtés, annál jobb. A távolság hosszára nem adható meg pontos méret.
