The AlzaPower P560 car charger has standard protection against undervoltage and overvoltage, which protects both the charger itself and connected devices from non-standard voltage levels.
However, if the charger remains plugged into the car with the engine turned off, it does not switch off automatically. Therefore, if the vehicle does not have its own battery discharge protection, the car battery could theoretically be gradually drained.
