Newly developed noise reduction technology offers ultra-high sensitivity (up to ISO 102400) and captures beautiful, vibrant images without graininess, even at higher sensitivity settings. Coupled with a hybrid AF system and advanced image stabilisation, it captures up to 6 frames per second in sensitive, 14bit RAW. Reliable Tool

Many photographers often work in extreme conditions. The K-70 is sealed against dust and water and can operate in cold environments (as low as -10°C). The reliability in cold weather means stable, fast responding and precise high-functioning mechanisms and circuits including minimalizing fluctuation of battery voltage. Even with all of the advanced technological features, you can easily handle and operate the camera with one hand in a glove. The camera was designed with utmost care and emphasis on optimum comfort and the highest serviceability. The reworked grip improves holding and control even of the four-way scroll button.

Real Stabilisation

To be able to take photos even of long distances or with longer exposure times, it was featured progressive stabilisation mechanism. Shake Reduction (SR) effectively compensates camera shakes up to 4.5EV regardless of lens type. It maneuvers the image sensor in all directions. Pixel Shift Resolution technology captures 4 shots of the same scene by shifting the image sensor just one-pixel for each image. Then it integrates them into a single image. The result is exceptional sharpness down to the finest details. This system also has Motion Correction that automatically detects moving subject during continuous shooting.

Specially Protected Sensor

Since you will change the interchangeable lens, the sensor will be exposed to dust. This is why it is coated with an SP (Super Protect) coating that prevents dust from clinging to the critical surface area of the sensor. And even if any dust stays on the surface, a special mechanism DR (Dust Removal) with help of high-speed vibrations can clear away any dust particles that might interfere with high-level images.
