5.7K 30p ProRes RAW HQ recording can be recorded directly internally to the camera body, giving you the freedom to capture the moment at the press of a button with minimal setup and without the need for external devices. Improved gimbal compatibility also expands creative possibilities.
World's first 32-bit float recording
Combined with the DMW-XLR2 (sold separately), the LUMIX GH7 delivers the world's first 32-bit float recording that enhances the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. Thanks to its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit float format captures more information, from quiet to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious audio level adjustments during recording.
Phase Hybrid AF
With autofocus, reliability is the most important thing. In addition to contrast autofocus, the LUMIX GH7 offers a phase detection autofocus system that greatly improves the performance of subject tracking and metering technology. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes where multiple subjects are present, and provides accuracy even in backlight or low light.
ARRI LogC3 record
Using the DMW-SFU3A software update key (sold separately), users can use the ARRI LogC3 curve to match colours with ARRI digital film cameras. The ARRI LogC3 curve image processing on the LUMIX GH7 is certified by ARRI to implement the feature. Richer tonal rendering
Dynamic Range Boost takes two types of images with a single exposure and synthesizes them in real time to create composite images with a rich tonal range, even in scenes with significant differences in brightness. For still images, it allows richer expression of shadow tones in RAW format. For video, it provides recording with over 13 EV of V-Log/V-Gamut dynamic range. It achieves a wide dynamic range in all ISO sensitivity ranges.
