The Optoma Photon Beam PK53ST projector uses DLP projection technology and offers a native resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The DuraCore laser light source provides a light output of 3800 ANSI lm for a clear picture in various conditions and supports continuous operation. The device has compact dimensions of 11.4×27.4×21.6cm and a low weight of 2.9kg, with a design that is up to 34% smaller than previous Optoma products. This device fully supports high dynamic range HDR and HLG to display detail in both dark and bright scenes.

Image parameters
The projector processes images using DLP technology with a native resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and supports 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios. The device can create an image with a screen size from 30" to 300" and offers a contrast ratio of 500,000:1. The vertical frequency ranges from 24 to 240Hz and the horizontal frequency from 15 to 150kHz. DLP technology ensures precise image rendering for watching films, presentations and gaming.
Laser light source
The light source is a laser with a lifespan of 30,000 hours in both normal and eco mode. During operation, the cooling system has a noise level of 28dB(A), which can rise to 35dB in some modes. The total power consumption of the device is 185W when powered from the mains. The projector meets the safety standards for Class 1 laser devices and Risk Group 2.
Projection
This short-throw model requires a distance of up to 3.3m from the projection surface. The design supports 360° installation orientation, making it easy to place on the ceiling or free-standing on a table. Mechanical image adjustment includes zoom and lens shift, along with focus. For proper airflow, a distance of 30cm from the exhaust vent must be maintained.
Projector connectivity
The connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). For connecting other devices, there is an RS232 interface, an RJ45 network port, a 12V trigger and 3D sync. Audio output is provided via a 3.5mm audio jack, and there are also two USB-A power ports with a 1.5A output. Wireless connection is possible using an optional Bluetooth adapter.

Native resolution vs. maximum resolution
