nJoy Keen 800 USB

nJoy Keen 800 USB
The nJoy Keen 800 backup power supply uses line-interactive topology and delivers a real power output of 480W with an apparent power of 800VA. This 800VA backup power supply stabilises the power in 230VAC networks, correcting the input voltage across a wide range of 162 to 290VAC. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) feature adjusts fluctuations without needing to switch to battery power. At half load (240W), it provides power for 2 minutes. For management and monitoring, it features a USB interface with HID support, which enables communication with a computer and its automatic shutdown. It also includes data network protection via RJ11/45 ports. The compact design and quiet operation at under 40dB make it easy to place in an office or home.
Key features of the nJoy Keen 800 USB backup power supply
- Line-interactive topology with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
- USB communication interface with HID support for easy management
- Software for monitoring and automatic safe computer shutdown
- Integrated data and telephone network protection (RJ11/45)
- Cold start function allows the unit to be switched on without mains power
- Two fully backed-up Schuko output sockets
- Compact tower design with quiet operation
Voltage stabilisation and power
The line-interactive topology corrects input voltage deviations across a wide range of 162 to 290VAC to a stable output level of 230VAC with a tolerance of 207 to 253VAC. The unit automatically detects the network frequency (50Hz/60Hz). The real power output reaches 480W with an apparent power of 800VA. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) conserves battery capacity during common network fluctuations, as it adjusts the voltage without engaging the battery. When running on battery power, it provides a simulated sine wave. The backup time at half load is 2 minutes, dropping to under 1 minute at full load.
Protection and battery
Inside the unit is a single maintenance-free GP09122L battery. It takes approximately 6 hours to recharge to 90% capacity. This process occurs automatically, even when the unit is switched off (Off-Mode Charging). The cold start function starts the nJoy Keen 800 UPS directly from the battery without needing to be connected to the mains. To protect connected appliances and the unit itself, it includes a set of protective features. This includes overload, short circuit, and overvoltage protection, as well as mechanisms to prevent deep discharge or overcharging of the battery, which contributes to a longer lifespan.
Management and monitoring
A USB communication interface handles the connection to a computer. Thanks to Human Interface Device (HID) protocol support, the unit is automatically recognised by modern operating systems without needing to install additional drivers. For advanced management, it offers PowerMonitor software, which you can download from the manufacturer's website. This tool is used to monitor the UPS status and configure the automatic shutdown of the connected computer. This prevents the loss of unsaved data during a prolonged power outage, as the system performs a safe shutdown.
Connectivity and sockets
Two Schuko-type output sockets are available for powering appliances. Both sockets are fully backed-up and also protected against power surges. For communication line protection, the unit offers two RJ11/45 ports (input/output). These ports protect the data or telephone network from damage caused by voltage spikes. Input power is supplied by a standard mains plug with a 1.2-metre long cable.
