The pair of flash units is attached to the lens with the supplied ring. The flashes cooperate with the camera's measurement system using a TTL automatic exposure control. The connection of the flash units to the camera's flash is via an infrared signal (wireless). Therefore, the kit is compatible is limited to D70, D70s or D200, and other flash units can be added.
