India Darjeeling FTGFOPI Nurbong is an Indian black tea from the first harvest period with a light infusion colour, an unrivaled delicate, floral flavor and a slightly sweet aroma. India is the largest tea producer in the world, alongside China and Sri Lanka. The tea industry here employs two million people and total annual production ranges from eight to nine hundred thousand tons. Teas from India are overwhelmingly black. Green tea is produced in large quantities in the northwest of the country and is mainly destined for the Afghan and Iranian markets. Better quality green and partially oxidised teas are grown in Darjeeling.
