Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive - 500GB
The Lenovo ThinkPad external drive belongs to the Secure Hard Drive family. These disks meet even the strictest demands about on-the-go data security. The disk offers the option to select two PIN codes using the built-in numeric keypad with metal dome buttons. Each PIN can be between 8 to 16 characters in length; one PIN belongs to the user and the other to the administrators. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256-bit encryption is used to protect data. The advantage is that encryption does not adversely affect the baud rate even when reading or writing files.
The disk has a capacity of 500GB and rotates at a maximum speed of 5400rpm. The connection takes place via USB 3.0, but it can be connected to older USB 2.0 as well. You will be delighted with the built-in USB connector, which is stored in the groove on the side of the disk along with the cable. Also included is the USB Y cable to provide sufficient power. Connecting the disk only takes a second and there is no need to install any drivers for the Windows operating system (XP or later). The multicolour LED indicator informs you of the current status of the device.
The high-quality attractive packaging has an elegant black colour and works as a reliable protective shell for your disk. The disk itself has protective features inside that prevent it from being damaged during shakes that are partly eliminated by anti-slip anti-vibration pads.

Its original name was Legend. Later it was renamed to Legend Novo ("New Legend"), abbreviated Lenovo. In 2005 it took over IBM's computer division, which was among the largest computer makers in the world. It is similarly ambitious in the field of mobile phones, where it would like to surpass Apple and Samsung. As far as this goal goes, they acquired Motorola’s mobile division in January 2014 and have been ramping up production since. The company also produces tablets, monitors, televisions, and storage solutions. Overall, they are known for delivering quality products at reasonable prices.
