If you're serious about playing games or working with maximum efficiency on a PC, then the new 11th generation Intel Core Rocket Lake processors are just for you. This 8-core Intel Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake CPU, with a working frequency from 3.5 to 5.3GHz, fits into the LGA 1200 socket, ideally with the Intel 500 series chipset. However, you can also use older Intel Q470, Z490 and H470 series boards.
Intel Rocket Lake processors feature the most significant change in the field of microarchitecture we have seen in recent years. The last refresh saw Intel using Skylake-derived Comet Lake cores—now we have all-new Rocket Lake cores based on Cypress Cove microarchitecture. Technologically, these are 10nm chips from Ice Lake processors with Sunny Cove cores, backported to Intel's 14nm process node. This allows you to enjoy higher operating frequencies on the Intel Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake processor—even when dealing with heavy workloads.
The Intel Rocket Lake platform delivers support for PCIe 4.0 with 20 PCIe lanes, a new memory controller, more powerful IGP and hardware support for the upcoming AV1 video codec. And what about the performance of the Intel Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake processor? You'll be delighted with a double-digit increase in IPC (instructions per cycle).
With 16 threads, you have no fears about using the Intel Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake processor at full performance. An integrated Intel UHD Graphics 750 graphics card offers support for 4K resolutions up to 5120×3200 @ 60Hz for DisplayPort and 4096×2160 @ 60Hz for HDMI.
