The ICY BOX IB-PCI214M2-HSL controller card allows you to install a single M.2 NVMe drive into a desktop computer using a free PCIe slot. By using the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, it bypasses slower data buses and connects the SSD directly to the processor, unlocking its full performance potential. This adapter for NVMe SSDs supports stable data transfers without the bottlenecks typical of older interfaces. The card works with Windows operating systems and is fully compatible with common M.2 drive formats.

Controller cooling
The adapter integrates a large passive heatsink that specifically dissipates waste heat from the M.2 SSD. The package also includes thermal pads, which fill microscopic gaps and create an effective thermal bridge between the drive's chips and the aluminium heatsink body. This solution actively prevents thermal throttling, where the drive reduces its speed to avoid overheating.
Universal installation and design
The package includes two interchangeable brackets, one full-profile and one half-profile. This allows for installation in both standard computer cases and compact low-profile systems (SFF). In addition, the heatsink integrates static blue LED backlighting, which acts as a visual element in builds with transparent side panels and illuminates the internal components.
