Fast-drying waterborne anti-mould coating Offers better protection against contamination than conventional coatings. Very fast drying and quick repainting (3 coats per day). It contains a biocide that protects the coating against fungi and mould. Approved for direct food contact (R1). Can be applied to wet surfaces in combination with 8798 HYGIENIC PRIMER. One-component hygienic topcoat on a water-based dilutable base provides protection of the interior against normal moisture and dirt. Suitable for walls and ceilings.
Recommended use:
It is intended for application on mineral surfaces with primer or directly on the original coatings. 8700 will resist normal moisture and in wet conditions 8798 should be applied.

Drying time fully cured:
3 days (20 °C), 5 days (10 °C), 2 days (30 °C)
Practical consumption:
It depends on many factors such as the porosity and roughness of the substrate and the loss of material during application.
Surface preparation:
Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminants with an alkaline cleaner or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with suitable cleaning agents. Remove contamination with FK111 or ND14. Wash the entire surface with plenty of fresh/warm water or high pressure (steam) cleaning to remove any residual contamination and cleaning agents. Apply primer 8798 locally or all over as required. Lightly roughen the original intact coatings. The surface must be clean and may be slightly damp during application.
Instructions for use:
To ensure homogeneity, coatings should be thoroughly mixed before application.
Application Terms:
The temperature of the air, substrate and coating material must be between 5 and 35 °C and the relative humidity below 75 %. The substrate temperature must be at least 5 °C above the dew point.
Applications and dilutions for brushes:
Dilution with water, up to 5% by volume. Use brushes with a mixture of synthetic and natural bristles.
Application and dilution for roller:
Dilution with water, up to 5% by volume. Use rollers with a medium-length pile of 8 - 12 mm, woven acrylic or polyester. Roller application may require 2 coats to achieve the recommended dry film thickness.
Applications and dilution for airless:
If necessary, dilute with water up to 5% by volume. Use pneumatic or electric airless equipment. Nozzle size: 0.015-0.018 inches. Material pressure: 150 - 225 bar. Check the thickness of the wet film, avoid excessive thickness.
Applications and dilution for air spray:
5 - 10 % by volume with water. Use a spray gun with a drop or pressure canister. Nozzle size: 1.2 - 1.8 mm. Injection pressure: 2 - 4 bar.
Tool cleaning:
Immediately after use with soap and water.
Note:
Maximum dry film thickness per coat: 80 µm dry equals 225 µm wet. For very porous substrates it is advisable to dilute the first coat to 50% with water and then apply a second coat.
