HECHT AKU 1040 String Trimmer (without battery)

The HECHT 1040 cordless trimmer is ideal for finishing around fences and walls after mowing with a lawnmower, or for cutting grass from hard-to-reach areas. It can be powered by any ACCU 5040 program battery, and the battery capacity will affect the run time per charge. The trimmer is equipped with a telescopic shaft and shoulder strap. You can easily adjust it to your body height and the weight of just 3.8kg makes it very easy to work with. When mowing, you will especially appreciate the quiet operation and easy handling, no power cables and no emissions. The working width of the string can be adjusted from 28-32 cm by simply switching the control on the string cover. The 1.6 mm diameter string is wound in a single-string automatic head. Battery and charger not included.

Advantages of an electric motor

The mower's electric motor is silent and produces no smelly or toxic fumes. Compared to an internal combustion engine, you don't have to start the engine, perform regular maintenance, change oil and air filters. The electric motor is more reliable than the rather complicated internal combustion engine. However, the main disadvantage of a conventional electric machine is the need for a power cord. The cable restricts movement, and a little inattention can result in damage and possible electric shock. All these disadvantages are solved by powering the machine from a lightweight lithium battery. With a 4Ah battery, the trimmer can run continuously for up to 40 minutes on a single charge.

Optimum mowing with the string

The working width of the string can be adjusted in the range of 280/300/320mm by simply switching the control on the string cover. The 1.6mm diameter string is wound in a single-string automatic head. Approximately 1cm of string is automatically unwound each time the machine is started. If the string becomes too worn during cutting, simply switch the trimmer on and off several times until the string is unwound to the required length. If the string unwinds too much, the automatic adjustable trimmer on the cover cuts it off. This ensures an optimum cutting width of 28-32cm at all times. Idle speeds of up to 8,000 rpm are available. /min. The trimmer head can be rotated 180° and can be easily used to trim the end of the lawn.

Accu program 5040

The advantageous programme allows the use of a single battery for more than 10 Hecht devices included in the programme. This provides the opportunity to achieve significant savings as well as maximum utilisation of the battery and charger throughout their lifetime. Chargers and lithium batteries are already included in some instruments or can be purchased separately. The Accu 5040 products are fully compatible with the 005040B and 005024B batteries.
