What should be taken into account when selecting an electric hedge trimmer?
Performance
400 W - can cope with young hedges.
Above 400 W - suitable for thicker hedges.
The length of rails
12-40 cm - can use to trim small ornamental trees.
40-70 cm - suitable for trimming larger ornamental trees and hedges
Tooth spacing
Spacing should depend on the size of the twigs and density of the hedge. It should be equal to or greater than the diameter of twigs, otherwise they will just nibble and have a tendency to jam.
15 cm - scissors with shorter strips.
16-34 cm - they are equipped with powerful shears with long leaves.
Useful features
Telescopic handle - allows for machining upper portions of high hedges.
Swivel grip - turn the handle 180 degrees.
Safety brake - if necessary, shuts down scissors.
